Exclusive distribution of the LP of Dizzy Dizign

Exclusive distribution of the LP of Dizzy Dizign

We are proud to announce the exclusive ditribution of the progressive band of Dizzy Dizign. The album is named "Dizality" in 250 limited copies. For more information about the band :

DiZZY DiZIGN were born in April 2008, in Kyparissia (Messinia), through the ashes of a previous music project, since 2001.

The first line-up was:

Dimitris Sampaziotis - guitars, lead vocals
Marios Petropoulos - guitars
Stefanos Sampaziotis - keyboards, effects, vocals
Dionisis Sampaziotis - drums, vocals
Panagiotis Sampaziotis - bass

Marios left the creative section of the band in summer 2010, while Thanasis Sampaziotis took his place in diz diz crew with a promising role on saxophone and electronic effects.

The band acts in Kyparissia rehearsing and presenting their authentic material on a regular basis, by 2009 to date. So, this town in southern Greece is supposed to be the “diz diz base” for all the upcoming steps.

The debut album by DiZZY DiZIGN is titled Dizality and finally, has been released in November 2011, in LP format. The tracklist goes as follows:

side A:

1. Ida's Steam Cake

2. Ecstasy as the “Queen of the 11th Night”

side B:

3. AtorTola

4. Trust the Vintage

Dizality is a collection of compositions that started to take shape in spring 2006 and constantly evolved until summer 2009. The general context has to do with the diz diz influences, moving between the progressive rock sounds of the 70's legacy and the redefinition of them, as found in the 90's. In addition to the above, it should be mentioned that the band always was searching for further inspiration by jazz, avant-garde and the domestic musical traditions.

The recordings, the mixing and the mastering were made by Sakis Mpastas, at NoiseBox Studio (http://www.noiseboxstudio.com/), in Patras (GR), between December 2009 and July 2010. Spyros Charmanis (http://www.spyros-charmanis.com/) was the master-mind for the guitar recordings, which took place at his home studio, in Patras, in March 2010. The band's official photo sessions were made by Dimitris Stavrou, in Kyparissia, in August 2011. The vinyl cutting and the artwork printings took place in Kent (UK) and Patras, in autumn 2011. This first diz diz release is available in a limited edition of 250 pieces.

Generally, the band is inspired by independence. All the process of completion of Dizality was mostly self-financed, because of a deep belief in the truth of two things: (a) the running on an independent music path, far away from the suffocating trading establishment of companies-crucibles and (b) the spontaneous exchange of musical experience through the physical meeting between musicians and friends-listeners-fellow travellers.

What DiZZY DiZIGN have got in mind now, are particular new material synthesis and maybe some special gigs to promote Dizality and to present the new sound, arising after line-up changes. Stay tuned for more news to come.

Planet of Zeus - Macho Libre 3 αστεράκια
(B-Other Side)
